I have been working for 2 years on the Handbook on Authoritarianism in the Arab World. 30 contributions. It's finally done and submitted.

Stay tuned for publication, open access. I hope it's a useful resource for students, scholars, and everyone interested in the topic of authoritarianism.

Ah yes black people in those states can just move, from the south (where their families live. These conversations often ignores the deep cutural roots/ties black people have in south since slavery). Yeah that's totally a wonderful idea 🙄

A standard textbook for citations style and methodology is Turabian's manual. An easy to read book for how history is made and the change in that methodology over time is Maza's "Thinking About History." She co-edited a standardly assigned volume on historiography which is good enough. 1/2

The American education system is so bad, that I was shocked to learn the first muslims in america came from West Africa. Being raised the early 2000s had me thinking Islam was just a Middle-Eastern thing.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.
