When you have a thing you really want to get out of on Monday, and there might be a storm coming, and it's like when you're a kid and you're hoping for a snow day.

Baking does not actually require precision. I've made up cake recipes on the go and they turned out great. (For example, using up extra corn batter from fried green tomatoes; add some flour, something to make it rise, some sugar, some vanilla, some eggs. Bake at 350 for a while. Was delicous.)
