Unfortunately for him, the Pirates finally decided to spend a little money & acquired some players this year, but Shelty isn't mad!
He is back in his "happy place," managing an MLB team! The Twins are in a rebuilding phase after gutting their bullpen at the deadline last year. He has a challenge!

I stopped by GMS Field this morning to spend a little time with my boy Derek Shelton, newly minted manager of the Minnesota Twins! It was good to speak with him in person as it had been a while.
I also obtained a few autographs from Grady Sizemore, Latroy Hawkins & top SS prospect Kaelen Culpepper!❤️

I have many ticket stubs from historic sporting events, including Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Final, as well as many inaugural commemorative games & game #162 in Tampa in 2011!

As many of you know, I canceled my trip to Fort Myers to go see Team PR as I have been under the weather! I instead made a quick trip to Steinbrenner Field to have Carlos Lee sign his all-star jersey that I have had for 19 years! I was able to accomplish the mission & get 5 balls signed in 1 hour! 😂

I was doubly disappointed and quite shocked that he didn't re-sign with us! We Puerto Ricans are usually very loyal people, & our word is our bond. That being said, he has had his share of ups & downs, so hopefully, we will be better without him. I have rooted for the name on the front for 65 yrs!
