Going back to some early gaming roots: Gyruss on Atari 2600.

lol all you have to do is just shoot the three blue enemies and you automatically get double shot. Hitboxes are very VERY forgiving.

Gotta give props that this actually has music. Most 2600 games are just clunky buzzy noises

Granada's intro on X68k isn't as cool as Arcus Odyssey, but it's still pretty awesome.

(honestly, I'm just glad I figured out the emulator setting that was crashing at the part where the cannon fires)

My guess is that it's a similar mentality as rhythm game players who crank up the speed of the notes.

The only game I've beaten at 2x speed is The Guardian Legend.
