Yes. But also: Does that person think the other side isn't going to point out flaws in a candidates if we're all really quiet about it? If anything, they're going to be thrilled if a candidate has serious flaws that were ignored before the primary.

Asimov wrote about the Three Laws of Robotics in 1942. Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey was released in 1968. So yeah, people have been discussing this stuff for 50+ years. I think that makes it a "classic" problem.

People never understands what it means when "AP" follows an author's name. Different news sources can end up with different images for the same article - sometimes it isn't the best image. And the SF Chronicle tweet now shows a different image anyway.

They took "stranger danger," ignored all the faults, and repackaged it.

Same with my Google Home speaker. I tell it to do something simple and it loves to chime in that it could do soooo much more if I activate Gemini. I don't need it to do or say more, I need it to set timers, update shopping lists, and tell me the weather.

They're the ones focusing on the stumbles. They're the ones spreading it. They're pandering to conservative social media.

Sometimes you wonder. Bloomberg this morning saying that you can't both believe that AI is a big deal and that we're in a bubble. But you absolutely can! That's exactly the story of the tech bubble of the 90s, major economic impact but not big profits. Sigh.
