If you turn it clockwise
my heart will not unlock—
its cogs don't spin
so cleanly

there is a gentle knack,
few have ever cracked
& I can't offer
any advice—

only my heart knows
how it works

but once in a magical
blue moon,
another heart ticks
in rhyme with mine—

the lock turns

& my heart
opens.

as if dark swathes
separate us

especially then

I hear our song
swaying on the wind,
as if to say—

there is nothing
that can truly
keep us apart

since a thread
of light & hope
connects our hearts—

singing always

even
in the dark.

Blossom Now is the hour of the airborne sneeze, when every doorstep blooms into an ambush. Tree pollen drifts like mischievous ghosts, tickling the soft interiors of noses, turning eyes into small, stinging planets. Delicate pinks unravel the quiet of a walk, petals shedding like whispered confetti, skies filling with slow‑motion calamities, floating, bright, and strangely beautiful, miniature Hindenburgs dissolving in sunlight. And still I step outside, into newly warm sunlight, wading through the fragrant wreckage, laughing between sneezes at the soft disasters of spring.

is the story
of how
my heart beats—

forget blossoming,
it's too empty
for that—

hollowed out by
humanity's hubris—
its sharp wire
scratching
at the shutters
