Looool we just watched the episode where Gumball rearranges his DNA and turns into a Tetsuo-esque monster in the elevator and I kinda feel seen 😆

Also they cram an incredible amount of references to other shows, movies and books in each episode. Not to mention all the puns and innuendos. I's fantastically well written. Like this show has no business being this good.

Watching the Amazing/Weird Wonderful World of Gumball with friends and this show has WAY more fun and wacky cartoon body horror in it than I expected. It's amazing xD

I definitely second ToonSquid. I haven't used it as much as I wanted to, but it's solid and only 10 bucks! It also has a brush engine similar to Procreate's. So you can get procreate's look and ease of drawing but with far better animation tools than Procreate or Dreams.

Like so many people, Covid got me into VR. I've always been interested in 3D animation and modeling, so it's really Blender's UI overhaul of 2.8 that got me back into that.

Not sure if I'll ever make models to sell. Maybe one day

It looks great, but the game looks amazing already. It honestly needs a lot of tweaking to get VR to work well. I don't necessarily recommend it, but it's fun to experiment with if you're already into that sort of thing.

The jetpack works fine. The hypertubes are janky though, and often your camera clips outside the tube, and it doesn't turn with the tubes, so you're rarely facing the right direction.

I wouldn't play the game that way either. It's far too cumbersome and unresponsive. But it's lovely to just walk around and exist in the world from a first person view like that.

I finally set up all the mods to try out Satisfactory in VR. It's incredible to walk around in the world that way! It looks so good.

I kinda gave myself a headache because the framerate isn't great and I didn't feel like messing with the settings a lot. x) But it's an amazing experience.

Oh, yeah, I expect a lot of big name popular actors are going to be jumping on that bandwagon in the new few years :/ Between audiobooks and the remakes, and the endless slew of new games.

Aah I should've thought of that! I might go back and do that just so I have a little more off screen area to play with.

I used to teach animation and I've done it professionally for years so I know these principles well. And yet it still always surprises me by how well it works.

Animation is weird because as you make things more exaggerated, they look more "real"—or more believable, at least. Giving an *entire planet* some jitter when it gets hit by a bomb makes it look like a bigger, more tangible impact.

The solar system and atomic nuclei are basically the same thing

(This is a legit mistake I made. x) I wanted to apply a small amount of jitter to planets when they get hit by a weapon but I accidentally applied it to every planet on every frame)
