Weirdly enough, one giveaway for me is when the voice is too perfect. The VO sounds absolutely pristine—which is possible, but very unusual especially for small YT channels.

Then often they mess up an obvious detail too. Perfect recording + awkward pause between 1st and last name = AI

I agree! It would have completely redeemed his antics in the first movie and would have been so much more compelling. I would've actually gone to see the second one if that was the big reveal.

The thing that sells it for me more than anything is that they animated him doing things like mimicking speech while doing the force gesture. Back in the 90s, CG was extremely expensive, finicky work and there's no way that would be done if it weren't intended to be setting up something bigger

I unironically believe the fan theory that Jarjar was intended to be the big bad in the prequels, but he was so poorly received that Lucas chickened out
