This is important. Universities have been competitive with each other without enough cooperation for too many years. If they banded together they would be a very powerful political bloc. Each university has not only their current faculty and staff but a whole army of alumni behind them.

Tariffs are so stupid. What kind of weird alternate reality am I living in that a president that the WSJ hates is somehow loved by people who call themselves "conservatives"? This is such an idiotically destructive experiment, much in the same spirit as prohibition or urban renewal. I hate it.

Fermenting grains can produce things with a stickier texture that holds together better; this is how injera is traditionally made from teff, another gluten-free grain with a great nutritional profile. Companies are just not trying. Tradtional cultures eat all sorts of delicious gluten-free foods.

There are also some surprising ingredients that can address textural issues as well. For example, I have discovered you can make a delightful, fluffy pancake by soaking urad flour (from matpe beans or black gram) in water overnight. And it has a whopping 7g protein and 4g fiber per 1/4 cup.

This is EXACTLY what I talk about in my most recent video...particularly the lack of protein and fiber. And it's so stupid. There are excellent gluten-free flours, including bean flours, pseudocereals, and even some grains, that have a nutrient profile as good as wheat or even better!

I'm not sure I follow what you mean by "empty investments". Landlords whose property remains vacant almost always lose money. There are wealthy people buying up property for nefarious purposes, like Russian oligarchs using real estate to launder money, but much it is vacant, they're not landlords.

People have this tendency to think "bigger = worse" but it's not that simple. Also, I'm not a landlord, so I'm not trying to defend myself here. I'm trying to call out irrationality in the dialogue surrounding housing prices and landlord-tenant relations.

It's nothing like "not all men" arguments. I've rented from 10 different landlords and only 1 of them was exploitative. By the way, NONE of my landlords were big corporations, and the one who screwed me over was a single person who owned few properties. Some of the "bigger" landlords were better.

100% agreed, it's appalling too that Bloomberg, a usually-reputable outlet, is playing right into Elon Musk's PR machine. We need to do more work to network with these media outlets so they stop doing his dirty work for him.

Tesla has been tanking recently. Yet even after the steep drops, their P/E ratio is still over 100. A company with a P/E ratio this high is only good if their revenue is growing, yet Tesla's sales are falling off sharply. It's a sinking ship and the board knows it. They want out while they can.

I've had good experiences with them too. They were known as a kinda gimmicky low-end printer for years but they've stood the test of time. As long as you're not doing weird / custom stuff or having very high standards, they offer great value!

It's very frustrating too because I've tried talking to MAGA enthusiasts and Trump supporters about this shift and they don't get it. They see the "establishment Republicans" as the devil incarnate, and they oddly seem to think that Trump is more "moderate" than most of the GOP mainstream.

Yeah, my family was politically moderate growing up, but I feel similarly. I was registered Republican for years. I voted for Kasich in the 2016 GOP primary and that was the last time I voted for a Republican president. The party has become not only extremist but very different from its roots.

What frustrates me so much about this is that there are many other interventions that are harmful, that are going ignored. For example, the levels of iron fortification in some US foods are so high as to be illegal in many EU countries. But we're not targeting or even talking about these issues.
