The library and the post office are the only two systems we have that circulate things widely and to everyone, no matter who they are or what they believe. The library is the only one that, for now, is not forced to pay for itself at point of sale. Attacks on IMLS are attacks on every one of us.

I hate to say this but want to think that maybe, just maybe the English EO could mean interest convergence for Title III? Though, sadly, probably not. This EO is clearly about exclusion (i.e. racism and linguicism), not access.

Trump signs executive order making English the official language of the U.S. In the nearly 250-year history of the United States, English had never been designated as the nation's official language.

Linguicism and racism at its finest 🤮.

We have always been a multilingual country. We will remain a multilingual country. Because we, the people, are multilingual.

Also, which English? There are so many varieties in America (and the world).
