Roo Code – Your AI-Powered Dev Team in VS Code Roo Code puts an entire AI dev team right in your editor, outpacing closed tools with deep project-wide context, multi-step agentic coding, and unmatched developer-centric flexibility.

So there seems to be a lot of cursor unhappiness these days, and that inspired me to check out Roo Code based on a recommendation. Its an OS VSCode extension (BYOM api key). Brief experiments with claude 4 doing work on a phoenix app went well, FWIW. Gonna keep digging in: roocode.com

Thank you to all who weathered the [literal] storm last week for @superchris.launchscout.comΒ talk about helping teams adopt AI. What we liked best was that it felt like a true meetup. It ended with everyone sitting down, chairs turned toward the center, honestly sharing and listening to each other.

Really surprised no one thought to name their LLM Mr. MeSeeks. Seems like a missed branding opportunity.

How You Can Help Build the Elixir Development Community, Even if You Don’t Use it at Work How You Can Help Build the Elixir Development Community, Even if You Don’t Use it at Work

I wrote this a while back for @teamlaunchscout.bsky.social -- "How to Support the Elixir Development Community" launchscout.com/blog/support...

It remains pretty useful, though I know some of the details have since shifted.

I'm really grateful to and fond of the #elixirlang community

Refactoring code (AI generated or human generated) after a good night's sleep is so much better than doing it at after the end of a long day

Due to the AI revolution, we programmers may write less code ourselves, but we still have to read it if we want to be responsible. Choosing a human friendly and readable programming language is still important. That's why I am betting on Elixir and Phoenix #MyElixirStatus

Trump pleads with his war criminal patron "Vladimir" over social media not to make him look too stupid as Trump gives everything to Russia and justifies past murder and enables future murder. And Putin laughs at him.
