I restarted my newsletter and I'm trying to stay off socials so watching that subscriber number drop is Hella wild.

In the face of everything that's happening all around us, everytime I see the word urgent in emails I'm like - nope not it.

The sheer anxiety of having to be in places and string sentences together has become so hard for me. My anxiety means i just can't handle it.

Wondering how many things I'll keep adding to list of "can't do now" thanks to anxiety. (travel was already one of them)

a video of a deaf man being *tazed by Australian police is going around. and, I don't want to re-share that trauma porn on my feed but I want to remind the hearies in the room that this is common. Police are trained to overpower people not recognize disabilities or deaf.

One unexpected thing in my qualitative study w natural scientists (one-hour interviews) is how deeply, deeply sad the climate scientists are. They say things like "you have enough information from us, why won't anyone act?" -- the psychological distress these people are enduring is very great.

This isn’t even disguised as a war at all except in media coverage. They are attacking civilians, civilian infrastructure, refugee camps, schools, hospitals, churches, bakeries—openly killing as many Palestinians as they can. They’re arming settlers so they can form lynch mobs.
