I get the temptation, given that quitting both Amazon and Target makes it HARD to track down certain types of items, & Walmart isn't as much in the public conversation today about how much it also sucks. I staunchly avoid all 3 but there are certain things I just have no idea how to buy now!

This store is new to me but I think I'm going to buy a couple of patterns!

We’ve been wanting to get a new fridge anyway (this is an ancient, apartment-sized one that isn’t adequate for three adults) so I think this is our motivation to get on that and find one that he can’t open or that has a way to lock it!

My cats are one year old today(!!!) & one decided to get wild and figured out 1) how to get on top of the shower stall/bathroom cabinet and 2) how to open the fridge door. (And how to move the brick. For now the door is held shut with two 10 lb dumbbells.)

The other one just wants second dinner.

...Although if you want physical buttons I think you'd want a different model then. But I bought my Kobo in 2020 and I've been really happy with it.

I also recommend using Calibre for ebook management if you don't already. I can get ebooks from anywhere and drop them onto my Kobo via Calibre.

I have a Kobo Clara that's largely identical to my Kindle Paperwhite, and the Clara is what I recommend to everyone now (get the B&W one unless you have a strong use case for color - the color e-ink isn't as good as the B&W).

Once I get to day 3 of a weekend I finally have energy and initiative for Projects. We were not made to have only two days for ourselves each week.

I learned that if you log in first & then paste the URL for the witness slip into the same tab, it will auto-fill your info! (And this will keep working if you paste another witness slip URL into the same tab after you finish that one). Not perfect but much better than re-entering every single time.

A few days ago I was at home on my laptop, no VPN, and Bluesky suddenly gave me an age verification screen. I reloaded the page and it went away. I don't like it!

Very little! For dining/drinking I stick with patios except for rare special occasions like birthdays if I know the spot won't be super crowded.

We are boring af in this house, unfun hangs are fine! S+J are out of town through Weds but we should have you over sometime after that. We could watch a movie or something or just let the cats be the entertainment.

Oh no!! I keep telling my friend who has a deck on top of her garage that she needs to install a dumbwaiter, now I know it is not to be 😭 She feels guilty about not using the deck more often bc it’s a pain to cart stuff up the tiny steep staircase and a dumbwaiter is the perfect solution!!

It is FIFTY-EIGHT degrees out and I am going to go hang out on a PATIO in FEBRUARY
