If I were a protagonist in a Silent Hill game, one or more of my monsters would be obscured by shadow or partially invisible, one or more would probably look like myself, and at least one would be a spider.

The fact that Silent Hill is my my go-to comfort place says a lot about my mental state, I think.

After all, it's hard to enjoy something like that when you know you might be missing something important.

This effect applies subconsciously, as well. Even if they prey doesn't admit to having something important on the line, they won't melt and Rob will quickly catch on.

The purpose of this loophole is to ensure an out for prey who might genuinely have reasons to not indulge in the process (i.e. important matters they need to be present for), and to prevent Rob from accidentally impeding important plans the prey might not have mentioned for one reason or another.

So if you can somehow force yourself to *not* enjoy the process, you can--in theory--prevent yourself from being liquefied and absorbed.

However, since Rob only ever eats people he knows will enjoy it, it is incredibly rare for it to happen, let alone be necessary. [...]

[Random] There is in fact a way to avoid being digested in Rob's gut, but it's very unpleasant to do.

The process through which his body "digests" prey is directly connected to the sensory euphoria prey experience as they melt. It doesn't work if they aren't enjoying that blissful state. [...]

[Random] I have a tendency to hyperfixate on people's OCs when they happen to appear in my dreams. I rarely tell them, because I can see how it could make them uncomfortable.

That said, I often show interest in their character's species as a way to express this feeling without making it weird. 💦

It's an incredibly uncomfortable situation, finding out non-artist friends have been using gen A/I to make pictures or "art" of themselves. Then it gets worse as you're given awkward looks when you aren't impressed or entertained.

I can't be happy for you when you're contributing to the problem.
