28.02.2026 15:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also "Paul Skenes already has more career WAA than [Jack] Morris" yikes
26.02.2026 17:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Honestly a little jealous that I've never used a Mozart/DeGrom comparison while writing before

So I don't know if there's anything to this because I'm not a scout, but... I feel like the isolated video of Made here and in the triple he hit earlier he doesn't look that great, like he's a little off balance... and then it's a 101 mph single.
I think that's a good thing!
Itβs spring! Letβs be optimistic. About baseball, at least.
24.02.2026 14:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel strongly that if youβre gonna do it you gotta do it all the way
22.02.2026 20:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Writing about this but the same projections that have the Twins at 79 have the Brewers at 80.5
10.02.2026 15:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Imagine that lineup with Hamilton, Ortiz, and Perkins all on the same day. Ghastly.
09.02.2026 15:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you this is much clearer
08.02.2026 18:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βSerious but stable conditionβ means something. So does βshe is banged up but ultimately doing okay.β You need a condition in order for that condition to be stable.
08.02.2026 17:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The term βstable conditionβ is a good example of people trying to use smart language that instead demolishes meaning. You know what the most stable condition is? Being dead! Which is obviously not what they mean.
08.02.2026 17:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Brewers history pieces are cool
05.02.2026 15:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah lol those two things MIGHT be related
04.02.2026 18:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I always knew Christian McCaffery and my mother-in-law were alike
03.02.2026 01:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Amazing player, forgotten because he missed years for the war, had a career that ended early because of injuries, and played in the same outfield as Joe DiMaggio.

Two things:
1. Ted Williams lol
2. Charlie Keller might be the best player youβve never heard of
Also very funny to me that the "increased payroll flexibility" of trading away Robert was used on a relief pitcher who had -1.8 bWAR last season
01.02.2026 19:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was also like 4 or 5 when I first saw Home Alone so it was easy to just be like βmomβ
31.01.2026 03:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was trying to explain to someone today that her Home Alone character was, in my brain, the "best" movie mom of all time. Which immediately sounds very funny because... she leaves her kid at home when she goes on vacation. But she's THE movie mom for me.
31.01.2026 02:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(Just glancing back at these rankings I did I think I have some criticisms of where I put my priorities in that process, but still)
31.01.2026 01:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0David Robertson was really good. I did an insane project a couple years ago where I tried to do a ranking of all the best relievers in baseball history, which is way harder than any other position because of how it's evolved. In any case, Robertson was number 16!! Which seems crazy but...he was good

If at some point the Brewers start Caleb Durbin at 3B + Jett Williams at SS in a MLB game, they would be the 1st team to start a 3B & SS both 5 ft 7 in or shorter in a game since:
7/8/1933 Reds
SS Sparky Adams, 5 ft 5 in
3B Andy High, 5 ft 6 in

The Belichick snub thing is kind of hilarious to me, a guy who cares about the baseball HOF. Itβs almost like if someone was clearly one of the best ever, they should be in the HOF, no matter what the circumstances are.
29.01.2026 17:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0β[The Brewers] are well-positioned to remain contenders for the next five years, at leastβ
29.01.2026 16:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I went and tried to find all the players who had good careers that had an early offensive season as bad as Ortiz had in 2025
27.01.2026 15:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why is Beltran so jacked
23.01.2026 01:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bleak! Haha. Certainly plausible but I guess Iβm in the camp where the Brewers shouldnβt by any logic be as good as they are, so Iβm not going to tell them they should move away from whatβs been working. (I do hope they make a splash at some point though)
22.01.2026 21:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I understand. But also Freddy might go back to the 110 ERA+ pitcher he was from 2022-24, and Sproat could be a solid back-of-rotation starter who could pitch in the playoffs, and Williams could make some contributions, and they could be a wash value-wise next season. Happened with Burnes and Devin.
22.01.2026 21:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This and several other pieces bemoan the Brewers for not wanting to pay Peralta's $8m salary in 2025... and I just don't feel like that's part of Milwaukee's motivation, here. It is very simply: one year of Peralta or 12 years of two good prospects? They chose the latter.
