Rep. Ted Lieu, a California Democrat and vice chair of the Democratic Caucus, said there are "a diversity of views" about impeachment in the caucus. He said that House Democrats intend to conduct oversight of the administration should they win a majority in next year's midterms but that a win at the ballot box did not guarantee an impeachment vote. "I think you would have to have an investigation where you actually talk to witnesses and review documents and look at, you know, video and listen to audio. You need to do all of that before any decisions are made," he said.

This is the vice chair of the Democrat caucus straight up saying that even if Dems win the midterms, they might not impeach Trump.

The naturalization ceremony is the final step to the process, where the oath of allegiance and a citizenship certificate are granted. The trans question, as another example, completely conflates two very different standards of care — medical vs surgical — and then attempts to apply both to minors, when that’s actually a very nuanced conversation being had by a lot of advocates and professionals.

For instance, Holocaust denial is real, pervasive, and bad — and I would be shocked if it’s at 37%. The big problem here is that the question is sloppy and provides multiple pathways. I’m not sure if MI was trying to hack these results, but I’m not sure why they’d want this. Bad question either way.

As someone whose name is very much in the FBI file on Peters, I have to confess that I hope she doesn’t turn into any more of a MAGA cause celebre.

Concern continues to grow that former county clerk and convicted felon Tina Peters may be transferred to a federal facility and then released. Because she is jailed on state charges, Trump cannot currently pardon her — but they’re trying anyway.
