A flight to Zurich and my annual ritual of starting to read my copy of The World Ahead. @tomstandage.bsky.social did a brilliant briefing for @economist.com subscribers a couple of weeks ago so I'm looking forward to diving deeper into the printed content.

Had high hopes for the British Museum's Silk Roads exhibition. Poorly lit so you couldn't read the text describing the exhibits, all text down low so impossible to see in a busy environment. A lot of 'stuff' curated without much story of a fascinating period of history. Ultimately disappointing.

Not sure my time on here (less than a week) makes this a very representative view of my Bluesky cicle, but a bit of fun nevertheless. @skircle.bsky.social

A BBC Micro B for me. Typing code for games off the back pages of magazines and inevitably getting some of it wrong so it wouldn't work, or worse had been misprinted. That iconic sound of a programme loading from cassette tape that took foreverrrrrrr. #goodtimes

My Dad tried to teach me cryptic crosswords as a teenager and frankly they baffled me. He'd be proud of my now daily routine, and increasing ability to get the answer on the first try. Nod to you Dad! #crosswords
