Itβs better not to take headlines at face value these days. There is no one party dominating and several closely grouped together. Even if GWβs party nominally has the most votes it doesnβt mean they have βwonβ anything and itβs likely their vote share will be down a lot than the last election.

34. Mares Nest - wrapped things up with this rather dream like take on post-apocalyptic storytelling. While the concept as a whole doesnβt quite take, many kudos to its precocious and engaging young cast. 6/10. #LFF #filmsky
19.10.2025 15:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 033. The History of Sound - despite a few pacing issues, this beautiful exploration of the profound impact music can have on the soul is the film that has touched me more than any other this festival, underpinned by two sensitive and vulnerable performances by Mescal & O'Connor. 9/10. #LFF #filmsky
19.10.2025 15:15 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 032. After the Hunt - develops intricate layers of complex characterisations for the core cast which are never fully utilised and the last scene feels like a cop out. Julia Roberts is terrific though so not all is lost. 6/10. #LFF #filmsky

31. Two Prosecutors - when a young and naive prosecutor takes it upon himself to try and challenge injustice in Stalin-era USSR, you know from the off that this isnβt going to end well for him, but the journey to the bleak ending is absolutely compelling. 9/10. #LFF #filmsky
18.10.2025 22:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 030. The Ice Tower - evocative, unsettling and visually spectacular, this blurs fantasy and reality in such a way as to make you feel at the end rather like you are waking up from a disturbingly vivid dream. 8/10. #LFF #filmsky
18.10.2025 16:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 029. H is for Hawk - skilfully blends an exploration of depression with an appreciation for the natural world. Foy is very solid here but itβs the Hawk that is the real star. Runs a little out of steam towards the end. 8/10. #LFF #filmsky
