Well, what IS your food response time? Cats are on their own schedule, it takes a lot of energy to walk around annoyed at the world. They are so busy guarding your home with lackluster indifference.

Master's degree, decades of experience, multiple languages, ongoing education... yet DEI (disabled) hires like me are still seen as problematic by some. It's a reminder that acceptance can be fleeting. Thankfully, my cats don't judge my worth by my identity, just my food response time.

Do you write in multiple genres? Would you ever considered writing the same character in various genres? I think it would be fun to see how one character react in fantasy world vs horror vs romance etc.

This is how I end up with so many 2-3 page short stories…maybe it should be a compilation novella?

Do you ever create a character that you love so much but have no idea how they fit in your story? I have a random ship captain, just a merchant but I have already envisioned his whole family. They are just trying to get by. I love him but not sure there’s enough to write a whole scene about.
