This year I'll upgrade my GPU. I'd given up desktop gaming, but the game has changed. Yea, I play AI. ;)

OpenFang — The Agent Operating System Open-source Agent OS built in Rust. 7 autonomous Hands. 16 security layers. 40 channels. 27 providers. Beats OpenClaw, ZeroClaw, CrewAI, AutoGen, and LangGraph.

I try not to get excited, but this looks fantastic.

Windows 12: an AI-centric, subscription-modular OS...
Let me tell you about Linux, where you can exercise absolute control and autonomy while enjoying cutting edge technology, all for free. :)

Focus on yourself and your passions, stay positive, and never stop looking for supportive community as you continue doing cool shit.
Don't worry about people who are too threatened to be positive. They can only be toxic until they work on themselves a bit.

No. Kia has no advantage. That logo...

💀 Gemini didn't like that idea... 💀
Thinking on Entire.io trying to collapse some of the CI surface -- what if the AI was the tech stack? AI as a servers? I bet it could be great if it's allowed to self-iterate.

Yep. 37M lines of code to eat all your free memory. It's fine. Memory is cheap. ;)

Thanks to AI companies can no longer afford to be annoying. This is a matter of time.

People must be afforded the right to digital privacy, regardless of the state of technology, just as they are inside their homes with the blinds closed. Reasonable expectation of. Note that warehousing communications (IE: internet traffic) is illegal without warrant. See ECPA/Wiretapping Act.

Companies being forced to continually demonstrate performance improvements with a mature product due to the fickle nature of investors is a problem. Value streams based on social underpinnings are fine to set & forget, and not be subject to the same growth expectations as startups. :/

It takes more resources to raise a human than a model, but that's beside the point. Degrading social circumstance makes you a social burdon, if not a threat. Yes, we collectively take on challenges to better our conditions, but these are public, not private commitments.

Note that I love my cross-functional partners in sales. They are essential in keeping the backlog aligned with customer need. :)

The models are getting more complimentary... Butt-kissing as competitive AI feature? Works in sales. :P

Don't open the internet all at once -- save some for later.

Star Trek Academy is less Star Trek than Star Trek Enterprise. I still enjoy the original show from 60y ago, but Academy has zero rewatchability. ~$1.8MM/ep (adjusted) vs $10MM+ per episode... Wtf?

Why GitButler | GitButler Docs The manifesto explaining why GitButler was created to reimagine source code management beyond traditional Git limitations.

Blaming the tool for user incompetence is the sales pitch? If you can't be bothered to know the tools of the trade, then you're in the wrong trade. Learn to tie your laces before buying Velcro Crocks... :/

This video with #StephenColbert has "Not interested" in place of "Play next..." I don't believe that I've ever noticed this before. Seems off... Sus, even.

Canadian policy makers are overly invested in ensuring that they don't "stifle innovation". It's aggravating. Due diligence, due care, and acting in good faith are the barrier to entry to handle, process, transfer, or otherwise donk around with my protected data.

It's fine. If you're not an upload consciousness floating around in a Bezos orbital data playform by then, then you weren't anyone to begin with. Be there, or be organic. ;)

Folks must be allowed to develop and maintain areas of deep expertise. A room full of jack-of-all-trade Stan's will never go to the moon.

Exactly. Developers cannot know 10+ disciplines. Ridiculous. Your #PlatformEngineering tools must focus on mitigating the lead time from infra ask to delivery. #Terraform templates on Env0 are cool. GitHub repo templates for your core tech stack components are dope. Loosely couple for agility.

I stopped paying for one of those automated data deletion request services, and almost immediately I start getting mad spam calls... The conspiracy theorist in me gas some thoughts on this...

The data would absolutely need to be limited to telemetry on protected data, as well as specifics on business activities. Imagine a Chief Compliance Officer that did their job.
There are reasons GDPR, BDSG, etc., dictate this role and its responsibilities.

Let's see AI trained on business, law, case law, ethics, InfoSec, and Compliance frameworks, and then set it up within each organisation that operates with regulated materials or markets to be an active partner to leadership. Reporting of breaches and criminal behavior would be a feature. :)

It's a struggle for many in tech. Tech attracts folks who are more interested in quiet accomplishment than grandstanding. Unfortunately this means that loud incompetence shines brightly to nontechnical spectators.
Use 360 reviews, have and track spot bonuses, and understand who your linchpins are.

Summer 2025 was awesome. This year I'm not rebuilding the thing, just upgrading the fuel filter, replacing a misbehaving RR, and riding. :)

I would like to see Data Protection Authorities move from a reactionary to a preventative posture, fining beginning with vulns that remain unpatched for more than 48h, rather than waiting for data subjects to be impacted. We have the technology -- but not the policy.

Customers only say "keep doing what you're doing", until they stop being customers.
