In the Okinawa family, the variants are: Okinawa, Ventura, Alameda. In the Ranger family, the variants are Ranger, Ranger II, and Warden.

The Proxima in STO is what we call a 'science dreadnought'- sci ships in STO use the language of 'more deflectors = more science'

I actually do most of the work in 3d, lots of projection mapping , kitbashing, and texture painting in blender, then into photoshop really just for the final polish and some decals :)

We were originally just going do to the TMP version, and so streamlining them down to just 2 seemed reasonable, then we decided to do all three skins and so we decided to double them up

we were, just not the TOS version, so I was working just frmo the TMP version when I was designing this- it seemed like a good idea to streamline the twin nacelles down into one at the time

was the original intention before we decided to do the TOS skin, then having 4 nacelles became much more of the ship's character so we added a 4 option for the pollux :)

A sleek but fairly utilitarian federation ship design, with the nacelles and pylons suspended above the saucer by a 'rollbar'.
