17.11.2025 12:47 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not everyone is looking to critically debate the things they love, and they shouldn't have to. No one has dragged me over the coals for loving The Crow or the original TMNT movie or whatever, and I don't care to go looking for those battles either

Missing booze at a wayside inn, an eccentric hobbit's ill-considered hedgemaze, and a missing hobbit child are some of the strange adventures burglars might find as they take the Northway from Oatbarton to Greenfield.

An artist called @Pizza990 made this for AI users and I think it's genuinely amazing.

I say "review" but it ended up being more than that, because this book had a pretty profound impact on me.

A reason to exist other than money. A message, something to communicate. It doesn't have to be anything grand, just for fucks sake have a point of view and some substance.

08.11.2025 22:50 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Art by Guy Davis. A grizzled old salt gunfighter sitting with a shotgun in front of an open crate holding some... thing that he caught or captured or shot. The thing has a strange and misshapen head with open maw and mostly human teeth, mismatched arms one bestial and one human. The human arm holds a revolver, uselessly. One of the thing's feet wears a boot and the other is some strange almost crablike paw. Behind them all is a wanted poster announcing a bounty on The Bear of Denton Ridge (or Benton Ridge) Dead or Alive, wanted for poaching. Maybe this is the titular Bear. Maybe not.
Reposting this as it's a piece of @guydavisart.bsky.social art that most folks have likely never seen. From my weird western OGN Strangeways: Murder Moon, all the way back in 2008 (probably drawn in 2005 though.)
At the risk of hubris, tagging @realgdt.bsky.social as he's a fan of Guy's work.
