It's not our fault that Akira, V. Hunter D, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, S.E. Lain, and all the rest blow the current stuff out of the water. That's just facts.

The thing has a strange and misshapen head with open maw and mostly human teeth, mismatched arms one bestial and one human. The human arm holds a revolver, uselessly. One of the thing's feet wears a boot and the other is some strange almost crablike paw. Behind them all is a wanted poster announcing a bounty on The Bear of Denton Ridge (or Benton Ridge) Dead or Alive, wanted for poaching. Maybe this is the titular Bear. Maybe not.

Reposting this as it's a piece of @guydavisart.bsky.social art that most folks have likely never seen. From my weird western OGN Strangeways: Murder Moon, all the way back in 2008 (probably drawn in 2005 though.)
