11.01.2025 17:24 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Itโs a rare thing to watch four C47-DC3s taking off one after the other. These photos were taken in Normandy, France during the 75th anniversary of the ending of the 2nd world war.

Daher, with its TBM and Kodiak offerings, would satisfy my flight requirements, well maybe add an aerobatic bird to the mix just for fun. The TBM940 was ferried across from Tarbes to the USA with my wife Julie Boatman and Margrit Waltz. The Kodiak was photographed for a story in Flying Mag. #avgeeks
17.11.2024 13:03 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0We spent a great long weekend up at the wilderness airfield, Moose Creek (1U1), with the Recreational Aviation Foundation (TheRAF) helping to rebuild outhouses and fences after extreme winds and a fire ravaged the field.
16.11.2024 14:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I remember back in the days, going in before an inaugural flight to plan and plot landing procedures , most of which revolved around NDBs and a lot of blessing ๐

14.11.2024 13:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sometimes a photo just hits the right spot at the right time. Iโd travelled 8 hours to get an air to air of this beautiful WACO, but the rain came and I had to take a ground shot. It worked and made the cover of Flying Magazine.

13.11.2024 20:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Of all the old birds in the sky the DC3 is my favorite. My wife is the envy of many of our pilot friends, she has a DC3 rating, it beats a 747 rating every day.

Me too, not sure if you get the AOPA magazine but the refurb story will be published in January.

12.11.2024 13:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโd flown in the DA42 as a pax but frankly considered it uncomfortable in the back with limited leg room and Iโm barely 5โ10โ. The DA62 however boasts enough room for me to almost lie flat while using it as a photo platform (not ideal shooting through Perspex but we do what we need to) #avgeeks
