i do like to spend my money on charities and donate when the opportunity arises. what i dont understand is people expecting profit or return in VOLUNTEER work. why would i give my money to you if it isn't 100% when there are other charities who can do that for me?

recently attended a talk by this figure of a non profit org on the work she does for ppl and inviting us to volunteer... once again baffled by people asking if there's an allowance 😭 it reminds me again on org in campus when a supposed charity still takes some profit because of the work they did...
