Commander is great because I can just ignore all the cards I don't like. These decks aren't optimal anyway. It honestly helps a ton with decision paralysis! In Standard, on the other hand, I'm at a notable disadvantage if I refuse to play cards from IPs I don't care for.

Now if they did "Standard Within," I will buy in immediately. I have been interested in 60 card Magic for a long time, and I was on the fence about getting a standard deck, but the announcement that UB sets would be standard legal kind of killed that interest for me.

Honestly, I would not be all that interested. Most of my decks are all Universes Within already, so there would be no deckbuilding cost for me, but honestly I think commander is a great format for UB stuff. I don't want to tell people what cool IPs they can and can't play in their casual deck.

V3 is still pretty excellent. There are some story choices people don't like, and I can see why, but A.) the plot to the first two is pretty mid anyway, I'm just here for fun characters and fun mysteries to solve, and V3 has both, and B.) I kind of like the thing everyone else hates?
