If someone wants to build a walker as their commander I'm still going to play with them. I just don't like the idea of changing the rules of the format because some feel like they have exhausted all options using the ever expanding legendary creature pool.

There are more than enough legendary creatures to choose from. There is no reason to dump another card type into the commander pool. I think too many format staples is what is really limiting creativity in commander. Not a lack of options for your commander.

It is overblown, but also, we have plenty of legendary creatures to build around. Why bring in another card type as a commander?
