Working towards building climate-resilient landscapes that buffer people and wildlife from the effects of climate change, like drought, could aid future conservation by mitigating conflict!

Overall conflict incident reports, as well as reports for 4 carnivore species, tend to increase during periods of lower precipitation. We theorize this is due to 1) decreases in resource availability during drought and 2) changes in poeple's perceptions of wildlife/nature during drought.
