We had the opportunity to talk about how health and human services funding in Minnesota is impacting probation and parole officers and their work in community. We need to make sure we have enough community support, and resources for our clients

I had the opportunity to meet with Senator Hoffman today, and as I was waiting for him to get done with his meeting, I took a picture of his nameplate. It reminded me of how much resilience that he has, that Minnesota has. In the face of adversity, we still stand!

As I was at the Capitol today, I was able to witness family members, friends and community of the Annunciation school shooting victims as they brought Hope to legislators prior to the public safety committee. They sang songs of light and peace.
It was a beautiful sight to see.ππ½
In community at the capitol today to hear gun legislation. It failed with a split vote of 10-10 in committee. We need our legislators to pass a ban on assault weapons! Bill: HF 3433 (Greenman) Possession of semiautomatic military-style assault weapons banned, and criminal penalties provided.

In community today, listening to black community leaders discuss a legislative agenda that is inclusive of those left behind. It was great hearing perspectives and solutions as to how we move forward.

I was honored not only to attend the Elected Officials Convocation, but to speak as well.
It was a powerful opportunity to share my vision for accountable leadership, integrity, meaningful community investment, and ensuring everyday people have a real voice in the decisions that impact their lives.
In Congress, I will prioritize responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources, public safety, and long-term solutions that strengthen communities today and for future generations.

I believe compassion and accountability must go hand in hand, especially when public dollars are involved.
My approach is grounded in sustainability β building fiscally responsible, community-driven policies with strong oversight that donβt just sound good, but actually work and last.
As a career probation officer and union president, I have spent my career working directly with community members, workers, and local institutions. That experience has shaped a leadership style rooted in accountability, transparency, and trust.
