Initially this sounds likely but, on further thought, he was actively looking for a musician and it was a busy time in that area. I think he'd have found someone else. Very probably with only an ounce of Marr's talent though. Perhaps a b-list indie band, which would still be popular of course.

I am giddy with excitement to see Tuppy's obvious disdain/indifference to the presents I've bought her.

Really ties the day together and makes it all worthwhile.

Started my Christmas films for the year. 23 of them; a number of which I've never seen. Including this one
What an interesting film. It keeps a lot of the gravity and grit of the original story, in a family film. No wink-wink, just raw detail.
Funny, catchy songs and charming.
