Finally seeing the JAWS exhibit tomorrow! I understand they have a virtual reality theater that transports you to 1983 and lets you sleep through Jaws 3D just as those audiences did all those years ago.

Finished THE TOMMYKNOCKERS. Not sure if it's the *worst* of his books that I've read, but it's certainly his most unfocused.

Also if you're still mad that they killed Dewey, blame 4. Because they wasted "Sid returns to Woodsboro for the first time" on her book tour, so only something of that magnitude (i.e. his death, or Gale's) could get her to come back in 5. They could have just injured him to lure her there otherwise.

Mostly because it looks like shit, can't decide which cast to focus on which makes it underwhelming as a sequel and a "reboot" or whatever, the two Ghostfaces are like 4'10, and that Stab opening is absolutely hands down the worst part of this entire franchise.

And also 5 did it all better.

Anyway if you understandably don't have the time to read my 3,000+ word review, the gist of it is that the slasher plot kind of sucks but the stuff between Gale and Sid tugged at my little heart so well that I (mostly) forgave it all. When Sid sees Gale get that thing from her purse... 🥺💔😭

I don't love Scream 3 (though it has grown on me a bit), but I think my favorite character moment in this entire franchise is when Sid practically sighs before asking Dewey if Gale is okay. It's perfectly played. We all have that frenemy who we want to be OK even if they drive us insane. I love it.

My favorite part of any VOD action movie is that they always have one genuinely good actor in these things, and watching them trade lines with someone who could barely say "Hey" in a natural way is just so damn funny to me.
