It just occurred to me that an elephant is the perfect mascot for the GOP. The right creates boogeymen for their voters to hate, and the voters, like an elephant, never forget.

As with the first Trump term, and it's treatment of undocumented immigrants, the cruelty is the point. We can say that it's Trump and friends, and that we did not vote for him, and that he does not represent us, but like it or not, Trump is POTUS, and all this is technically being done in our name.

Facebook seems to be continuing spiral into its enshitification of the platform. I have been literally overwhelmed with stories the last couple of days, and it's constantly trying to get me to create a story. Oh and "community notes" are coming as a new feature. Those did wonders for X ... LOL

The healthcare professionals who provide services to us ... They don't care about us. We're just billable units with names and faces and if we aren't repeat customers, they don't know whether we changed providers, moved or died, nor do they care. There is an endless supply of billable units.
