It’s likely this scheme is an attempt to hold children indefinitely.

Democrats' demand that Stephen Miller is fired as a condition of voting for ICE funding is one of the smartest moves they've made under Trump.
Miller is a loathsome figure who I imagine has rock-bottom likability numbers. Democrats should try to raise his public salience as often as possible.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:
- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE
NEW: In a court hearing for a TRO against the feds in Minneapolis, the plaintiffs just said one of their exhibits contains a recording of a federal agent saying "Well, this person is gonna have a hard time traveling from now on" after taking a photo of an ICE observer's license plate. 1/
