It would’ve been a perfect role for Glenn Close. She can sing and we know how she is with villain parts. She’s so much fun in Wake Up Dead Man.

WICKED: FOR GOOD reminded me more of a comic book movie than an interpretation of a Broadway musical. Michelle Yeoh gives a performance that I can only describe as Gadotian.

I love imagining this! This is our equivalent of what the people at The Globe must have felt like after seeing a live performance.

I’ll have to read this. My Old Hollywood book list is so long!

It’s not entirely the fault of the poster either, it’s just concerning to see another medium that prioritizes likes over analysis dominate. It’s irritating to spend hours on something and see the credit and attention given to someone who spent 30 seconds as they’re walking out of a screening.

Because bsky has become my place to vent: it’s very disheartening to see distributors and studios ignore full film reviews and turn to tweets, TikToks, and short Letterboxd snippets when promoting their films.

I’ll look for this when I go to the bookstore this weekend
