If Gambit got better armor drops and guns, more maps and invasions where you turn into a taken warrior/your heavy is locked during the invasion, it could become a popular mode. The other option would be to try a Destiny: Rising like Gambit mode in Destiny 2 and see how it goes. It has potential.
