The Mayorโs salary is more than fine. I think itโs a pretty convincing argument that you need to pay cops less, not more to the Mayor.

Watches movies. Sometimes. Gets tired other times.

08.11.2025 10:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Diane Keaton was such a singular talent because you could say she gave the greatest comedic performance by an American actress (Annie Hall) and youโd be right. And you could say she gave the greatest dramatic performance by an American actress (Reds) and youโd also be right.
11.10.2025 23:24 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Great stuff, great cast but Hepburn is immense in it.
28.09.2025 20:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sight unseen, I hear good things for Greenwood so itโd be nice to see a coronation for him and get carried along. What do you think about a second for Leo?
17.09.2025 19:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Co-workers today were talking about Kirk as a nice guy who simply went to schools to talk about his faith and hold debates so good job there Ezra
11.09.2025 22:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hope youโre right but you must be able to see where people are coming from. Right? Right!? There were a loooot of folks saying this for some things that came to happen, including Roe falling
11.08.2025 22:15 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0After watching Moulin Rouge! my boyfriend started reading about it and went โBaz Luhrmann isnโt gay?!!?โ
16.05.2025 07:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Kinda wild to think that a few years earlier with the Stunt category and Everything Everywhere All At Once would have won 8 Oscars out of 12 categories
11.04.2025 00:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thereโs this dude at my gym who does power lifts and he screams. Very loudly. Everyone with headphones can hear him clearly. Itโs kinda annoying tbh
But also quite funny because heโs not even doing it with that much weight.
I see people complain that a plot hole is how the White Lotus franchise can deal with three murders at their different locations and omg grow up
09.04.2025 02:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Was a bit confused about the season but knew to hold off judgment until the ending, so it was incredibly rewarding to see all the pieces fully fall into place (satisfyingly and not!) in that final hour. Good season.
07.04.2025 09:17 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I for one am actually quite pleased seeing Mike White doing the thing where he allows himself to dig deeper into the Mike White-ness of it all the longer and bigger his show gets.
07.04.2025 09:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Surprised Iโm not hearing more about it since itโs such a delightful watch!
07.04.2025 02:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs odd. I donโt see a scenario where she makes the finale (she *was* easily worst in show, even if it had been Lexi in the bottom) but itโs odd how much the episode seemed focused on tearing down one of the strongest contestants apart
06.04.2025 01:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's not the first time I hear about White being "difficult" but de Veers comes across so so sooo much worse here? As if the attention the theme song got really got in his head.
03.04.2025 18:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A mess, but really worrying how fried everyoneโs brainโs has gotten
03.04.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I feel thereโs a Sniffies drag name joke here thatโs not fully forming
31.03.2025 18:28 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I also hadn't realized how little he works. And how risk adverse he is. 11 movies in the past 15 years. Only once in the last 23 years where he wasn't top billed. And the last genuine risk he took being The Beach!
27.03.2025 20:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not feeling it, and sadly think Leo is a big part of it. Has he lost his spark? Has he gotten too comfortable in a type of role and acting? I genuinely loved him for most of last decade but haven't been sold on him since Wolf of Wall Street, which was coincidentally, his best.
27.03.2025 20:29 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Went to see Black Bag and omg a real movie! For adults! In cinemas! In spring! What a time to be alive! And to think Soderbergh probably made it in two days and a half. What a blessing
21.03.2025 01:52 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A few years ago decided to do a proper deep dive into his filmography since it felt I didnโt hear much outside of the two biggies and was so surprised at how stacked it was and how wild it is that itโs not brought up more often with Tarantino, Mann or other of his contemporaries.
21.03.2025 01:38 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The gasp I let out when I felt that way all season only to find out That One is 27!
08.03.2025 10:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs pretty incredible
07.03.2025 18:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Now this one though. This one weโre in crisis mode. The winners *and* the nominees lately have beenโฆwell, not great Bob!
Youn carrying the category on her shoulders this decade.
This category had been in a real rut over the past two decades with a lazy focus in real life roles and prosthetics (weโre still not completely safe). So itโs refreshing to see not only the marked improvement but an honestly great run here with 3 fantastic choices and a pretty decent one!
05.03.2025 10:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Find it very telling how for better or worse, the Anora team thanked and mentioned the sex worker community (more than once!) but the Emilia Pรฉrez team didnโt for the Mexican or (especially) queer and trans communities.
03.03.2025 06:56 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There was extra attention paid to some of the crafts categories and I for one thought that was a lovely touch to the ceremony. More of that in years to come!
03.03.2025 04:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I know thereโs a room of Netflix executives right now PISSED at Karla for costing them that Oscar
03.03.2025 03:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not to be a debbie downer but we really donโt need a Bond tribute at the Oscars every 10 years. Especially in a year as random as this!
03.03.2025 01:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is silly but for a movie that seems to aim a lot for realism in their behaviour. It constantly took me out that theyโre taking turns steering a boat
