Meanwhile, out in the "real" world, USA's ratings are being downgraded because of poor performance and increased unreliability. Farmers going bust, crops not harvested. The rest of the world is busy doing better deals with each other, excluding the unpredictable, tariff-obsessed USA.

There is a rumour that the the 2-child cap costs almost as much to administer as it saves. Also, nobody mentions that 56% of 2-child capped households are "hard-working" (@Keir Starmer) families. Starmer couldn't pick the winner in a one-horse race.

Same in the UK. HE is being so hard-hit by the loss of overseas students that some establishments are cutting courses and staff.
