i love winter and the cosy season but everything IMMEDIATELY becomes at least like 30% more difficult for me to do 😭 it really does cement my belief that humans are meant to slow down and 'hibernate' in winter, living out of sync with the seasons feels so unnatural and exhausting :')

not to be all 'ooo im better than everyone' but it genuinely SHOCKS me when i come across people who dont ever reflect. who dont know their intimate, inner world, who go through life so extremely surface level by themselves AND in relationships. like how does that happen??

Two things happened today...

1) The UK brought in draconian new laws requiring adults to identify themselves online (or at a minimum prove their age)

2) The IDs of millions of women who used the Tea app leaked.

If you can't see why 1) is bad when given the evidence of 2), there's no helping you.

these UK laws are CRAZY im expected to give all these apps and random websites my actual ID and do a face scan to view anything slightly suggestive? nah its time to delete the whole internet, this is not even going to stop children viewing dangerous material, just lead them to more dubious places

why does the felling of the sycamore gap tree actually make me cry :( 150 years of peaceful existence, a marvel of nature, all the wisdom it must have held, seeing multiple generations of people and wildlife grow up, and now its just gone for no reason. harrowing symbolism for the current times

A reminder that when the Sycamore Gap tree was cut down people immediately started blaming immigrants and teenagers...

It was neither. It was two white Englishmen in their 30s.

in many areas, life is about balance and some people just have too much black and white thinking when it comes to these nuanced topics 😔

a lot of chaotic energies for one day but im glad it ended on a good note 😌

BUT THEN once we were able to shake her off, we ran into one of our neighbours who we havent met yet. hes a lovely old man whos a butterfly enthusiast and told us about his life story living in malaysia, teaching, local plant life and where to see certain butterflies and it was so refreshing 🥹
