Cabo Verde 🇨🇻 seal a great result to qualify for the WAFCON 2026

A nervy second half as Oumou Kone scores in the 55' minute to peg one back for Mali. Cabo Verde makes it 4-1 in the 72' and Kone scores again in the 88' but Cabo Verde manage to hold on and qualify for their first #WAFCON.

24' Cabo Verde adds a third

Following goals in the 16' and 17' minutes, Cabo Verde now hold the lead over both legs (2-1).

Today is the day. Cabo Verde can qualify for the 2026 World Cup with a win over Eswatini. A draw requires Cameroon to drop points. The qualifiers can be streamed on FIFA+ in most locations and ESPN in the US.

Interesting that these predictions have Botafogo finishing 2nd in the group when they will top the group with a draw. Given how Atlético will have to be more open if they want to go through seems like Botafogo could sit back and hit on the counter and a draw/win seems more likely to me.

SE Palmeiras of Brazil picked up a win today but tune in on Saturday to see if GD Palmeira of Cabo Verde can defeat Boavista da Praia to win the Campeonato Nacional.

The last World Cup was missing the European champions. Did that discredit that tournament?

This tournament has its challenges, but it's very Euro-centric to claim nobody cares.
