Indeed. Yes, the more I think of it, between the Game Boys, colored and monochrome, the Game Boy Advance and the DS systems, I really did have a front row seat to memorable games. Christmas was, and remains a treat here.

I’ve had many a fine game, including the ones I have this year, but if I had to think of one, I would think of “Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins”. It was a fine present and a reward for a job well done in class. Certainly a favored one for my Game Boy.

I know multiplayer and online games had their time this year, along with some visual novels, but when it comes to a GOTY, I had to pick my Blue - and Black - Speedsters (and yes, I know the latter’s the Ultimate Lifeform and this is his year.) It’s what @legsfrank.bsky.social would approve of, no?

Great choices all around. (Yeah, Fallout 4’s one of my favorites. Same for its numbered predecessor, F3 and New Vegas.) I ought to fire that up myself at some point soon.
