Norris Green East has secured £20m in new #PrideInPlace funding.

We're looking for an independent Chair of a Community Board of local residents that will collectively decide how this new funding is spent.

Private rents are most extortionate in working-class communities like Liverpool Walton.

As the affordability crisis deepens, I called on the Government to bring in and pilot bold action to control rents.

Chaos in the Civil Service Pension Scheme under Capita is causing distress and hardship to my constituents, people who have worked and paid into their pensions all their lives.

I spoke in today's debate to ask what sanctions will be put in place to hold Capita to account.

Since I raised this last week, I welcome reports that the Government will proscribe Iran’s IRGC, which has killed thousands of innocent Iranians.

The Government should announce a timetable for bringing the necessary legislation to Parliament in the next few weeks – no delays.

The Labour Government is capping ground rents at £250 a year.

Positive news for leaseholders who have been squeezed for far too long.

Norris Green East is getting £20m in funding as part of the Government's #PrideInPlace initiative.

And local residents will decide how it is spent.

I welcome that the Government has taken action with the Renters Rights Act. But ministers must be prepared to go further if the affordability crisis continues.

Great fun at the Walton LifeRooms Christmas party!

I took the opportunity to thank the team for their vital work supporting Liverpool Walton constituents all year round.

Schools in my constituency are doing fantastic work, but funding constraints mean that they are under increasing pressure.

I asked the Government to ensure that schools in the most disadvantaged areas have enough resources to meet the level of need.

Pleased to visit Redbridge High School in my constituency to hear more about their work supporting children with complex needs – and what support they need from government.

Lots of issues for me and my team to take up on behalf of constituents.

Great to hear more about plans to apply for National Lottery heritage funding to refurbish Walton's Old Grammar School. The school is the 5th oldest building in the city – a unique piece of our history, which residents are determined to preserve and cherish.

My constituent, Ellis Cox, was just 19 when he was murdered on 23 June last year.

There is a reward of up to £20,000 for information that brings those responsible to justice.

Today Ellis' family renewed their appeal for information and safety measures on Aintree Loop Line.

Thanks to Monksdown Primary School for the warm welcome. It was great to meet with staff and students and hear more about the school's community initiatives.

Blood Transfusions during the Falklands War

Last night, I spoke in Parliament on behalf of my constituent, a veteran of the Falklands War.

He received blood transfusions – and was later diagnosed with Hepatitis B – but that fact has never been formally recognised, potentially precluding him from support he is entitled to.

Yesterday I met with residents to discuss their housing concerns.

Family homes being turned into Housing in Multiple Occupation by profiteering landlords affects more deprived communities the most.

I am working with local and national government to make sure we take action.

It was great to visit Sainsbury's Rice Lane to meet staff and learn more about the challenges facing our retail sector.
