HPC Architecture Ronin, currently at Nvidia. ex-MSFT, but forever a Crayon. I am proud of my home state (MN) and you will hear about it. All posts (especially the dumb ones) reflect my own positions and not that of my employer.

As hybrid #HPC + #AI + #Quantum workflows become more prevalent, orchestration of complex systems is becoming a key component of successful deployment. Looking forward to accelerating these capabilities for the open-source community.

I’ll keep picking away at the editing, but would love to hear more from others about what stood out to them. I wasn’t at the conference itself as much this years as in the past, so I know I missed a lot.

You're right, it's not dead! 😁
Ozaki does not replace FP64. It just makes DGEMM faster. Why is that bad?
That was the best analogy, though!

The only office in the Twin Cities was for educational software and Office trainings, last I looked.
That would have been super valuable
The extra fun trivia is that I posted that message while sitting at the project kick-off meeting in Tokyo. :-)

Through this partnership, we aim to develop a scientific discovery ecosystem based on the full integration of simulation and AI. We hope this work will benefit not only Japan, but also researchers worldwide.
Those who have been around #HPC a while know the historical significance (and probably the names) of Japan's flagship supercomputers. They always push the boundaries of technology, but in ways that are driven uniquely by the needs of Japan.

Those numbers were from their feasibility study and not necessarily where the design will land.

I, too, was once highlighted by DCD once on a move (to Azure).
Enjoy the ego stroke 😁
This is a well-known Minnesota-ism, so I've been polluted from birth.
If it makes you feel better, it bugs the heck out of my wife.

Having watched engineers do the hybrid HPL run on Trinity, you should be sure to give anyone who attempts it lots of love (and a raise 😄)
