Rivi never met Zlatan, but Runar was definitely good people to them. β€οΈ They could see his huge gentle heart from a mile away, and are really grateful to him for caring for Y'shtola for so long.
They're actually a little sad those two couldn't stay together, Rivi thought he was really romantic...
That said, his tendencies for subterfuge ate at them more and more, and the only time Rivi ever got seriously angry with any Scion was towards him for his deception over G'raha's sacrificial plans. They came to understand in hindsight with time but it took them a while.

Finally chipping away at these!
Urianger is an interesting one. Intimidated Rivi a lot for a long while, until they eventually found out he's actually a shy awkward dork inside just like they are. I like to think their shared love of Il Mheg is when they began to properly bond.
No this is a good thing, 'woesome little worm' is now a brainworm

06.03.2026 22:24 β π 21 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I won't comment on certain aspects of the new variant dungeon, but I will say an enchanted painterly storybook world featuring a FAIRY MERMAID is extremely Rivi-core. They absolutely fangirled all about it to Krile afterwards

Curious to see who I get, and interested in exploring less-talked-about connections!
06.03.2026 18:00 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0Thank you! It's a very interesting exercise to explore how a less violent WoL handles what the story throws at and requires of them, how that might mold them, and how they move past it.
06.03.2026 06:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Past that point, they try their best to avoid killing but if necessary they can handle it. But it still hurts. Their inherent empathy never really died, and it still reminds them of those dark years. They're still in a drawn-out healing process but have the support and breathing room to do so. (6/6)
06.03.2026 04:29 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Krile's reaction to what they'd become forced them to step away for a good long while and finally reckon with it all. They'd probably go off the deep end entirely if they didn't. Going Dark Knight for a while wasn't smooth sailing, but it did heal them just enough to carry through ShB. (5/)

During Stormblood they felt resigned to just being a war machine. Totally numb to it, or so they thought. Literally only there for muscle (well, paint), too broken to provide anything else meaningful.
Then Krile's capture made then snap again, even worse, and oh lord there came the bloodbath. (4/)
The Dragonsong War pushed them over the edge with it, with a whole bunch of trauma and pent-up pain, especially over their birth parents lost to dragons, aligning perfectly for them to go ballistic on Nidhogg's horde. A very unhealthy sort of mental wall popped right up past that point. (3/)
06.03.2026 04:20 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0To say they got used to it isn't quite right, but they certainly got better at pushing through, and deadlier to boot. But hey couldn't bear to stop to think about what they were doing, because they can't afford to have any breakdowns, they're the Warrior of Light now. (2/)

This is a pretty relevant qotd to Rivi!
Prior to ARR they were a sheltered, soft-hearted little thing, with experience in scaring off weaker monsters with magic paint, at best.
They broke inside real early on with what they were forced and pushed to do. Had no choice but to numbly adjust. (1/)

02.03.2026 02:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is my way of saying I have been thinking a LOT lately about Rivi and Krile having a kid post-MSQ ππ Feels too early to decide for sure, no less whether it'd be biological or adopted, but... yeah π

The thought has crossed Rivi's mind on occasion, and it's been harrowing, yet also gets their chest fluttering a little... But they'd never bring it up - they'd wait and prioritize how Krile or Mashi feel.
They're a bit reluctant, though, given... how being the WoL goes.
And I had the same assumption about her age at first, she has very early 30's vibes lol. I stick with canon ages just for when a character first appears and then add on from there, so she's about 27 currently in my timeline (which makes Rivi 25!)
28.02.2026 22:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0YEAHHH this is good stuff! I figured if anyone would help bring them together it's Raha, hehe. I have to imagine Krile senses inklings of what's happening between him and Soren. β€οΈ Thank you for indulging me!
