19.03.2025 10:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Once everything is complete, go to guest services on the day and get your Ride Access Pass printed!
We hope this helps explain the process for getting a Ride Access Pass, further details and instructions can be found here: buff.ly/UWLgbz2
Select the colour of the Ride Access Pass you have, the amount of people in total visiting, and the date you plan to visit. Dates that are grayed out are fully booked and cannot be selected. Once this has been selected, input your barcode number and complete the rest of your booking.
13.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Once you have this code, head over to the accessibility page of the theme park you're attending. There you should see a 4-step process of getting your Ride Access Pass. Head to step 4 to pre-book your visit.
13.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Once this step is completed, you should receive a confirmation email. Click on the "View Ticket" button in this email and there you should see your Barcode number. It should be 18-digits long.
13.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0During the linking process, an offer code will automatically generate for you. DO NOT EDIT THIS CODE! This is often the bit that causes the most errors, this should only be changed if a new code is given to you by Merlin!
13.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Once you have your ID number, it's time to link it with Merlin! You can link your ID number with Merlin using the following link: buff.ly/XvWWa3J
Once you have put in the ID holder's details, the next two questions will decide on the colour of your Ride Access Pass.
If you don't have an Access Card or a Merlin Digital Access Pass ID number, this is the first step to getting a RAP! You can get one quickly and easily by applying here: buff.ly/jr70wsl
13.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"How to link your ID with Merlin Parks." Is written above an image of an Access Card and email. The text "ID number" is shown between the images. An arrow points to the right from the ID number, pointing at a Ride Access Pass.
One of the questions we get asked a lot is how to get your Ride Access Pass with Merlin's theme parks. So today we wanted to make a post about the steps to getting everything you need for your day out! π§΅

We hope this explains our Essential Companion symbol a little more thoroughly. If you have any other questions, please let us know and we'd be more than happy to answer them.
Want a sneak peak of other symbols we can offer? Check out our website for more information: buff.ly/EFPAes1
For us to award this symbol, we would need to see documentation that can explain to us your need for assistance when in the community. This could be through DLA/ PIP/ AA or a letter/report from a medical professional which indicates this need to us.
09.03.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We can only apply the +1 when it's essential for someone to avoid a significant disadvantage compared to others. For children, this means they must be notably disadvantaged compared to peers, even with a parent or guardian present.
09.03.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Our +1 is there to communicate to a venue that they person using the card will require another ticket when they visit, and to help alleviate this barrier, the venue must provide the essential companion with a discounted or sometimes free ticket.
09.03.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some individuals can't attend events alone due to mobility issues, communication difficulties, or the need for support. Because of this, they will purchase two tickets to events, creating a financial barrier for them caused by a disability. This is where our +1 is here to help.
09.03.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A banner at the top of the screen says "What do my symbols mean?" In the middle there's an Access Card which reads "Accesscard.online, Symbol: Essential Companion" At the bottom of the Access Card a symbol showing "+1" is shown while the other symbols on the card are missing. The same symbol can be seen on either side of the Access Card.
The third symbol located on our Access Card is our Essential Companion symbol, sometimes referred to as our +1 in reference to how the symbol is shown on the card.

Lastly, we can accept documentation that explains the functional impact your condition has on you. This could be Occupational health reports, care plans, and OT assessments. Provided these documents are recent and explain the difficulties you face, we would be glad to see where we can assist.
07.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These reports must be dated within the last 3 years, stating the diagnosis and impact of the condition. Reports and letters must be on headed paper and signed by the doctor. Sometimes documents need to be stamped or sent to us directly by the medical professional so we can verify the information.
07.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you don't receive disability payments, the next documentation we can use is medical letters and reports which explain how your disability or health condition affects you. Provided we can see the difficulties you face and they match with the symbols requested, we are happy to apply them to help!
07.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Documents detailing disability payments must be in date and dated within the last 3 years. Please provide the front page so we can confirm the name and address, as well as the rates being received for both daily living and mobility.
07.03.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The easiest documentation we work with is payments made by the DWP. For example Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payments (PIP) and Attendance Allowance (AA). We are also happy to take Disability Payment documents from Social Security Scotland.
