The goal of the republicans plan is to create a socially Darwinian society that allows the most at risk to die without being seen or heard.

It’s all social murder at scale and eugenics all the way down.

The republicans are building the tools of mass death and painting them as public health.

so glad the child sexual abuse panic was squarely pointed at folks like me by the people actually doing it & the public was like “yeah, seems right—freaks did it. not the men with all the money & fighting to keep child marriage legal, the women that are legal to kill in 30 states if you’re nervous.”

Where was the urgency from Democrats in 2021, 2022 -- when they controlled both chambers of Congress and the White House -- to investigate and release what they could on Epstein/Trump, especially when MAGA invented sex crimes by Biden against his own daughter?

A reminder that the Epstein files aren't a distraction from the oligarchy. They're an integral part of it.

What Epstein records have not been made public?

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Trump is raising Americans’ energy bills, but states can fight back State leadership on clean energy can address rising electricity costs

From Jay Inslee & Sam Ricketts, a Democratic agenda for lower energy prices:
1. deploy more clean energy;
2. expand the grid;
3. hold utilities accountable.

And I know I'm gonna sound like a broken record, but what got us here is hierarchy

Children are at the lowest points in our social order, and thus, the most vulnerable

There is a coordinated movement to normalize adult men having sex with children. It ties tech and evangelicalism and the men of MAHA (and their women enablers) all together

Also we have to talk about how journalist now refuse to simply stay fact without having an outside authority saying that a duck is a duck.

It's the normalization of nihilism. Nothing is true, everything is just opinion.

One reason you need a public editor, representing the readers and their rights.

New York Times social media guidelines prohibit expression suggesting partiality on things like ICE, execution of foreigners in fishing boats, or whether law is a thing.

However, tipping off notorious serial pedophiles about other reporters is absolutely fine.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

Given how we are bombarded by bad news, it can feel like no matter how hard we try, nothing gets better. As natural & understandable as that feeling is it is also...bullshit. Here are some of the things Authors Against Book Bans have accomplished this year...

i really dislike the “pedocon theory” meme, for a whole host of reasons—but this article does a great job of explaining how systemic sex abuse of young people is the extreme logical endpoint of the patriarchal, dominionist mindset

Best thing we can do individually to help hold back the despair and isolation of fascism is to make beautiful things and memories.

Fascism wants to collapse all potential futures even those that we hold interior to ourselves, so to fight it we must embrace ourselves, one another and art.

“It’s a mistake to think a Second American Civil War would look anything like the first Civil War, or like World War 2 for that matter. It’d be nothing like the movies with huge movements of uniformed soldiers, tanks, and planes. Instead it’ll just be a continuation and escalation of what we’ve seen over the last several years: a network-to-network war to control minds, rather than state-to-state war to control territory.”

In 2022, Peter Thiel protégé Balaji Srinivasan—formerly of Andreessen Horowitz and Coinbase—envisioned a Second American Civil War.

He predicted it would be triggered by Bitcoin.

This is how it would work:

Authors, Beware! There's a firm called "ClaimsHero" doing aggressive social media outreach claiming to
"help" you file to get $ in the Anthropic class action. In fact, it's a bait-and-switch, they are luring authors to sign up with them, then OPTING THEM OUT of the class action so they'll get zilch.

Neoliberalism will not stop fascism and in fact will defend fascism as long as it can as an act of self defense because actually dealing with fascism and its root causes also ends neoliberal political theater and it’s corruption.

Politicians from both parties work for the same "mafia state" and have essentially the same corporate donors; they work for those donors, not their constituents. Read everything this young woman has written.

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.
