If your old art "sucks" compared to your most recent art, that's a good thing. That means you've made a lot of progress along the way. Don't delete your old art because it makes you cringe.

One way to increase your drawing speed is to develop a habit on drawing without thinking. Drawing without thinking will prevent overthinking, and be able work with bigger shapes without worrying about all the small details.

Do not draw at 100% every time. You'll end up burning out at some point. Take a break by drawing something really silly, stupid, or something self indulgent.

Feel like you're not good enough to draw something? Solution: Draw it, anyway! Waiting until you feel ready? Solution: Draw it, anyway! The day that you feel that you're ready will never come. All you'll gonna end up doing is keep putting it off later and later, and then never.

Rimming and pegging? A true person of culture you have there.

Art QoL Tip:

When you're starting a new drawing, there's a good chance are that your canvas color is white. Staring at a white canvas will cause major eye strain. Turn your canvas color to gray. Your canvas will be in "dark mode" and your eyes will thank you.

Only look up tutorials when you can apply it immediately. Without immediate application, you will end up forgetting a lot of what you've leaned, and also wasted a lot of time in the process.

Well, it's either listen to the customer base, or lose money. Normally, companies listen to the customers AFTER they lose money.

Now to be absolutely clear on this. If you think I'm blaming DummyDoodles, I'm not. Their stuff is public, not private, so it's a matter of unfortunate happenstance that it was reuploaded to youtube.

Especially when I said about posting private stuff online. if you want something to stay private, do not post it in the first place. In fact, the only reason why I even replied was the public/private comment.

Okay, I admit, "devil's advocate" was a bad choice of words, but my point still stands. It's not like they don't know the gravity of their actions. They simply don't care.

Which is why I said artists needs to develop foresight and a more realistic view on how people behave.

No, I'm not bowing down. I'm saying that we need better foresight and realistic views on stuff like this. So we can minimize shit like this.

Actually what strikes me wild is that youtube's content system doesn't even pick up on that.

And clout chasers will do anything for a drop of fame. Respect and dignity for others are completely nonexistent to these people. It's sad, but that's how the internet works. That's how people on the internet function. Artists needs to have a more realistic mindset on how people behave online.

Yeah... disclaimers won't stop anybody. People use disclaimers and warnings to cover their own asses. And that's what you have to do if you want to protect yourself from any scrutiny.

The people that leaves just merely used common sense. These are clout chasers you're talking about.

You pretty much solved the mystery. The fact that it the algorithm markets this stuff to people is the why they post it publicly. That brings in the attention they want. It gives them a bit of clout. As long as they can get even the tiniest bit of clout, that's all they care about.

This is the internet. Your stuff is only private when it's not on the internet. Once posted, your private stuff becomes public. If you want stuff to stay private, then do not be posting that stuff. Simple as that.

Playing devil's advocate here, when you post something online, or give someone access to your private stuff, you run the risk of it getting leaked to the public. Whether it's okay or not doesn't matter to them. Artists need to develop a better sense of foresight and a bit of common sense.

In the pursuit of clout, rules don't matter.

Every day, I'm gonna be sharing some art wisdom. I won't covering technical side to drawing, as we have our own ways of drawing. (until i run out)

These advices will revolve around getting around art block, improving the mindset, and ways to improve drawing.

A bit of art wisdom. If you're having trouble with motivation, ask yourself what motivates you? I guarantee you all your motivations are extrinsic, motivated by engagement, for example.

Develop intrinsic motivators, and your enjoyment of drawing will go through the roof.
