That ID doesn't show in the logs so MetaElite wouldn't have that.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's hashed/encrypted version of the one in the logs for display on the client side.

It does, I checked.
Inara will have it's own ID for your Inara account which is the ID in the URL and will be different from the Frontier ID

This feels blown out of proportion and isn't any worse than running EDMC, ED Discovery, EDCoPilot, SrvSurvey or any other 3rd party apps which reads the journals and interacts with the likes of Inara, Spansh, EDDN, etc.

Many 3rd party apps use your FID.
Inara will even show you it on their settings page inara.cz/elite/cmdr-s...
The FID is constant for the account, so if you change your CMDR name for ARX then the apps can keep track of that and move your progress over to the new name.
