People looking for ways to protest the cabinet nominees say to call one’s senators and reps, which makes sense except my reps are Omar, Tina Smith, & Amy Klobuchar. I know they represent my values - is there a benefit to them for people to call their offices? Are there other things we can do?

Use words people understand: Nazi. Fascist. Concentration Camp. Torture. Secret Police. Book banning.

They are accurate enough. Academics (I am one) can debate these things in academic contexts and that's fun and fine.

But in politics, use words people understand.
