1. On an individual level, I hear you. It would suck (as a human) & I wouldn’t want to be the person who jumps into a spot.

At the risk of turning this into an old man yells at cloud moment (shocking nobody), I cannot comprehend the incessant need for noise that I feel like is all around. People need (or want?) constant noise. Noise in posts, noise in life, noise on background. No room for silence; folks can’t just be.

I pay hundreds, truly thousands, of dollars (cumulatively over time) to always have this little communication box with me.

And, yet, my first thought is always “why would you 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 make 𝒂𝒏𝒚 noise?”

Guess this is me coming out as someone who does not listen, even if there’s sound, 99.999% of the time.
