Recent kwam @nrc.nl met een onderzoek waaruit blijkt dat de talkshows neigen naar de stem van (radicaal) rechts. Mijn beeld is dat het nog veel erger is dan daar gesteld. Ik zag 30 talkshowhosts en politieke duiders die merkbaar hekel aan links hebben en de stemming actief naar rechts duwen.

In het NOS-journaal was in het item over de Klimaatmars de eerste zin een voxpop: ‘Door klimaatverandering krijgen we enorme migratiestromen die niet te overzien zijn.’
Er zijn zoveel meningen, feiten en cijfers waar je dit item mee kon beginnen in plaats van deze racistische take. @nieuws.nos.nl

What we're seeing in the "don't sign up for protests" discourse is what Paulo Freire described as the convert's failure to trust the knowledge of the oppressed. As the convert tries to stand in solidarity with the oppressed, they refuse to let go of a world where they were the authority by default.
