Thank you for this list! Between Emmrich and my trip to Europe and the UK to see a bunch of graveyards/Dracula sites I've been wanting more things with this vibe.

Adult books are great, go read them! They'll even have the "spicy scenes" you complain about YA books not having.

Further reading revealed they hated being reminded that the characters were 16 or so (aka "kids") constantly as it made it hard to imagine them as legal and thus sexy adults. :/
