In life you can feel like your going backwards. That’s because you are until you arrive at Bradford Interchange πŸš‚ . Then your world suddenly flips and your facing exactly where you need to be heading πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

My attempts to be time efficient by working on the train does not align with the number of tunnels between Blackpool North and York.

So many open-calls, job opps, commission opps go live over Xmas. Too all salaried cultural workers unloading your to-do lists before out of office. Promote jobs and appoint before holiday season. It’s an anxious enough time without adding submissions, waiting, rejection into other peoples New Year.

The image shows a collection of works installed in an Art Fair booth. The booth is white and floor is black.
In the foreground and centred in the image is a curved chaise like form on the floor. A sculpture by Garth Gratrix. To the left are two other artists work. A painting by Abi Hampsey showing Forest of Bowland landscape, two female face with eyes open and looking to the right at a Grouse in the landscape. The colours are bold and rich with a beam of painted light across the canvas from right to left.
The painting next to that is by Tom Ireland and shows a number of wooden slats assembled together in a larger rectangle on the wall, each with different layers of the plywood surface sanded down to reveal various colours and textures (predominantly raw wood and red in tones). The the right of the central floor sculpture is then a small postcard size photograph by Kris Canavan depicting a torsos with the Word BumBoy scarred into the skin. Then next to this are three black frames containing photographs by Stuart Linden Rhodes. Each depict scenes archiving 90’s Queer nightlife in Manchester and Blackpool.

On the right is artist Garth Gratrix wearing a black plisse shirt with black leather bumbag across their chest, they also are wearing thin glasses but in vivid red and a neon pink beanie hat. They are giving a thumbs up to the camera.
